Stuff About Me

My life is literally based on the movie, The Wizard. Except i'm not as autistic as that guy. I'm 31. I draw stuff in conjunction with working for a living, and i have a pretty remarkable world record in a video game that not a lot of people know about. I think i also mentioned that i draw things.

Commissioned Artwork FAQ

Are you interested in commissioning me for artwork? Click here to email me for more information.

What will it cost me?

These are my standard starting rates for custom artwork.

Everything starts at a base rate of $50. Rates increase based on complexity, time, and use of image requested. Oh, and after we talk about it, if we're serious about working, due to being burned in the past, i now require half payment up front before any artwork is started.

I will provide one free revision (that is, i send you a digital watermarked proof, you tell me what you do like, what you don't, and i revise it if needed.) with every commissioned piece. Every piece of artwork that requires further revision will come at an additional $5.00 per piece.

I'm doing this as a side venture to supplement income, until something like this can prove itself fruitful enough to pay all my bills and kept me fed, warm, and with internet.

I want you to draw (...fill in with something i'm not gonna draw.)

I will be straight forward with you that there are certain, dare i say obvious things, i won't draw. If you request it, i'll politely decline.

What's the turnaround rate on this stuff?

Honestly, it depends on workload, but usually i can get most things done within a week.

Do you mail me a print? Or...

Right now i prefer to work digital only. I can send you a high-resolution file of the final, which any decently equipped print shop can handle. If you do want a solid print (and it's something i don't have in stock), i CAN make you a print, but it will come at an additional charge, based on size.

Right now i'm primarily working on standard 8.5x11 high quality paper, and can blow stuff up to 11x17 at max.

This will hopefully change sometime soon, so keep bugging me about it. :)

I have a question that's not listed here.

Please pardon the mess right now. It's been a good long while since I've made use of the website, but due to the recent upswing of business during the most recent Tampa Bay Comic Con, I wanted to let you guys that I am working on improving the look, content, and functionality of this website to contact me, see what I've been up to, and better yet, give you a place where you can buy some of my prints, or commission me for new stuff.

Thank you so much for your interest and enthusiasm, and I look forward to seeing you all in the future! (Well, website should be up in two or three days, but still. The sentiment still sounds nice.)

I am very excited to report that i was finally able to work through my Livestream difficulties, and will once again be showing speed drawings of my work on the website again. The only proper way to celebrate this is with my good personal friends, Stan Bush, and Optimus Prime.
I must also confess my undying appreciation for those poor, poor artists at IDW and formerly Dreamwave, as drawing transformomabots is incredibly painstaking. (hell, i didn't even do as good of a job as they do.)
Interested in custom commission work? I work cheap and fast. Send me your requests.

This is the Gabriel Belmont i drew after completing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, which employed some different tricks of shading with the Multiply filter along the glove that i hadn't thought of doing before.

Thrown on the pile of things i wanna do, is possibly a Belmont family portrait, or at least a few more renderings of other favorite Vampire Hunters (namely Simon, Trevor, and probably Richter.)

This is the first 'OFFICIAL' livestream-based drawing i've ever done, which is a character i've long desired to draw, just wasn't sure how it came out. My personal favorite elements of this piece are the shield, which was drawn from a reference picture, taken of a fan-made shield, that was about 145x160 and found on google, as well as the detailing in the jacket.

I think it came out awesome. I mean, it's from what's basically the best Castlevania ever. How could it not?

Here's the Tony Stark/Iron Man that i drew for last night's Livestream.

I think it came out...merely okay, but i have a tendency of downplaying most of my stuff. Some minor issues with some things i'd like to go back and see if i can find a way to fix. It's difficult for me, because as much as i like comics, i rarely find myself drawing actual superheroes. (the last time i did this, was some malformed Spider-Man i did back in 200...2?)

Anyway, thank you, as always, to everybody who watched it come together and added their feedback as i drew.

Decided that even though it's outside of the normal Livestream schedule, i wanted to follow up the Iron Man piece i did on Thursday with a drawing of Moon Knight.

Because it's Moon Knight.

You can call him Marvel's Batman Ripoff (and i can't really find good argument to deny that, save that he has a Moon COPTER and...the whole supernatural Khonshu/Stronger with the phases of the moon thing.), but Marc Spector has actually been one of my favorite characters both in design, background, and execution for a long, long time.

I'm not sold on the pose that i chose--(i'm trying to make more of a habit of messing around in poser just to build ideas up before sketching, but i seem to forget. And also, Poser's sort of a cumbersome thing to work with.) I might make another one with a more action-type pose sometime in the future.
